Cashew exports earn the country a total of US$1.6 billion throughout the reviewed period, up by 7.7% against the same period from last year. The average export price stands at an estimated US$5,805 per tonne.
Vietnam ships 1.02 million tonnes of coffee overseas for US$2.4 billion in the first six months of the year, a decline of 2.2% in volume but up by 3% in value, respectively.
Shrimp exports rake in US$1.2 billion in the first half of the year, an annual drop of 34%.
Vietnamese rubber export revenue in the January to June period hits US$803 million with a volume of 580,000 tonnes, annual declines of 23.7% and 3.3%, respectively.
The export turnover of wood and wooden products in the first half of the year reaches US$4.7 billion, showing a sharp decrease compared to last year.
Vietnamese fruit and vegetable export turnover hits more than US$1 billion in June for the first time, duly raising the figure in the first half of this year to US$2.75 billion, more than 63% higher than that of the same period last year.

Making of Tay Ninh chili salt recognized as Vietnam’s national intangible cultural heritage

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism recently signed a decision to recognize the making of chili salt in Tay Ninh Province as national intangible cultural heritage. As of 2022, 37 facilities across Tay Ninh had registered their chili salt trademarks, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The main ingredients to make this salt include salt, chili, garlic, monosodium glutamate, lemongrass, and dried shrimp. Tay Ninh chili salt is served with fruits. Vibrant Decorations Adorn Hanoi for Lunar New Year Celebration
